Make Up Revolution ‘Welcome to the Pleasure Dome’ palette review

Sadly, the Brighton Superdrug doesn’t have a huge Make Up Revolution counter, and even more sadly, that means it doesn’t have a huge range of their eye-shadow palettes. If you read my previous Make Up Revolution post, you’ll know that I couldn’t say enough good things about the Iconic Pallette, and I have been dying to get my hands on more for ages.
Luckily for me me and my sister headed up to London a few weekends ago, to visit the Lush Oxford Street store – you can read about my haul here – and the Superdrug there has a huge range. So fo course I had to get my hands on this palette as I have been lusting after it for way too long!

This palette contains 12 shimmer eye-shadows – which as I’m sure you can see are the squares and the 6 circles at the bottom are all mattes. I quite like the way this has been separated for quick and easy use. Although I doubt it would be likely you wouldn’t notice which were which.
The casing looks and feels a lot more sturdy than the one on the Iconic palette, but then I have had no breakage problems with that one either, so it obviously is stronger than it looks. However, this palette comes with a full size mirror in the lid, so that you can apply on the go if needed.
The thing I love the most about this palette, and the reason I picked these over the others is the mix of colours. They make it the ideal The 6 on the left hand side are perfect for an every day eye. I’ve been mostly using ‘Welcome to the PleasureDome’ to highlight, and with a blend of ‘Moving On’ and ‘Xenadau’. I’ve found the matte shades great as a base or just a super quick office look.
The 6 shimmers, on the right side of the palette are where the fun really starts! ‘You Really Can’t Afford Me’ (the dark green) is my current favourite, but ‘There Goes a Supernova’ and ‘Even When They Reach the Top’ are both really great for glamming up any eye.
As I said before, my favourite thing about this is the mix of colours. It’s the perfect palette to throw in an every day bag – especially if you plan to meet the girls for dinner or fancy after work drinks – you already have everything you need to spice up the every day look!
One thing I can never get over with Make Up Revolution’s products is how much quality they pack in for such a small price. I’ve been wearing this palette in loads of different ways over the last few weeks and the pigmentation of all of the eye-shadows are great. They are really soft, which means they blend well, have great staying power, and don’t leave glitter all over your face like some shimmer shadows do.
Which Make Up Revolution palettes are you lusting after or using at the moment?
Love,always
