Tatty Devine SS’15 Review

Okay, so can’t just be me who is totally in love with Tatty Devine?

They have been one of my favorite jewellery brands for a very long time, so as you can imagine, I was very excited recently when they released their SS’15 collection. As with every collection they release, I want pretty much everything from it (sigh, when will I become a millionaire) But I thought I’d give you a little peak into the ones that I am seriously lusting after…

Let me start by telling you about a couple of piece that are actually from the Classics Collection. (still selling so technically being sold for SS’15?)

Volume Broochhere for £18.00

I actually own this piece, and it’s one of my favourite things to brighten up an otherwise dull outfit. I think it really sums up everything that Tatty Devine is about – it’s fun, it’s quirky, it’s different to what you normally see out there – and plus, it goes all the way up to 11! (If you haven’t seen Spinal Tap, you really REALLY should)

Dinosaur Necklace here for £125.00

I honestly can’t remember a time when I wasn’t lusting after this necklace. Like I said above, it’s very Tatty Devine, and it’s something that you could wear with the plainest of outfits, and make it something fabulous. The only problem I find with Tatty Devine, is sometimes I find some of their pieces a little un-wearable day-to-day – and the giant version of this necklace definitely falls into this category. Happily though, this smaller version is big enough to make a great statement, not big enough to be classed as ‘too big’. If that makes sense…?

But back to the new collection – SS’15

According to the website, the new collection is inspired by ‘an English Countryhouse’ and when you see the collection, you can see what they mean. It’s like Downton Abbey met Madonna’s eccentricity, and then they had a series of jewellery babies. Not really sure how I ended up with that analogy.

Like I said before, I want pretty much ever single piece. But if I had to choose…

Tudor House Necklace here for £40.00

I love that way this necklace looks a little bit like a kid’s drawing come to life. Definitely a cute day-to-day way to quirk up any outfit, but wouldn’t look over the top with something more dressy either! I like the fact that it has a slightly longer chain that you find on normal neckalces, which means it would look amazing with a buttoned up shirt!

Midsummer Blooms Bracelet here for £125.00

Okay, this is a touch on the expensive side for a bracelet, but from all the expereince I have with Tatty Devine jewellery, once you spend the cash, you have something that will last you years. And the only other thing I have to say about this is how beautiful is it? So delicate, but so sturdy, they almost look like real flowers!

Ornamental Dragonfly Ring here for £30.00

In a strange way – as much as I love the brand – I quite like the way that you wouldn’t look at this ring and think it was Tatty Devine. It’s delicate in a way that they don’t often do – and oh, so, SO wearable. I’m thinking add a tea dress and some ballet pumps and you have the perfect Spring/Summer garden party outfit!

So what do you think of the new collection, or should I have picked something else?
